  • Richard Sanford Croson, of Hot Springs Village passed peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on the morning of October 26, 2015 at the Little Rock VA Hospital.

    Rich was born on April 18, 1937, in Chicago, Illinois; the son of William Sanford Croson and Jane Nixon Richardson Croson. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Thomas Kyle Croson. He is survived by his beloved wife, Mildred Croson; his children, Andrew William Croson, Richelle Jane Johnson, Ronald Stephen (Deanna) Croson, Karen Margaret (Brett) Patten, Gerald Sanford (Carrie) Croson; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

    Rich attended Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois, before proudly serving as a Corporal in the U. S. Marine Corps. He spent most of his professional career self-employed as a tire broker. He was an active member of the Presbyterian Kirk in the Pines, Cubs Club, and former Commander of VFW Post 10483. Rich especially enjoyed playing golf and traveling with Millie.

    His strength, faith and love will live on forever in the hearts of his family and friends.

    A Memorial service will be 1:00p.m. Saturday, October 31st at Presbyterian Kirk in the Pines Church in Hot Springs Village.

    Our love and prayers are with all your family. Rich was always very kind and such a fun person to be with. He will always be remembered as a life loving man. We are very sorry for your loss. Love to all of the family.

    I am so sorry for your loss. It is really hard and it does get some easier as time goes on. It is still hard but better as Max died in February.
